Salary Range: $40,000 - $55,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time

The Kikotan Nation is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving Indigenous communities by preserving and promoting our history, culture, and traditions. Our mission is to protect ancestral knowledge, sacred ceremonies, language, and heritage, ensuring they thrive for future generations.

We provide cultural education, historical preservation, and community support programs to empower Indigenous people and strengthen their connection to their roots. Through advocacy, outreach, and traditional practices, we work to uphold Indigenous sovereignty, identity, and self-determination.

Position Summary:

The Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's day-to-day administrative and operational functions. This role supports staff, manages office resources, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Oversee general office operations, including scheduling, supplies management, and correspondence.

  • Financial Management: Assist with bookkeeping tasks such as expense tracking, invoicing, and preparing financial reports.

  • Human Resources: Maintain personnel files, onboard new staff, and ensure compliance with HR policies.

  • Facilities Management: Coordinate office maintenance and liaise with vendors for equipment repairs and supplies.

  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize staff meetings, board meetings, and other organizational events.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain organizational records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of administrative or office management experience.

  • Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Experience in non-profit organizations is a plus.
